I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the LORD sustains me. I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. For we live by faith, not by sight.

The LORD is my light and my salvation-- whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life-- of whom shall I be afraid? If God is for us, who can be against us? So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?" In God, whose word I praise-- in God I trust and am not afraid. What can mere mortals do to me? Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go. The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged."

In you, LORD my God, I put my trust, I give my life to you. You are my hiding place; You preserve me from trouble; You surround me with songs of deliverance. Many bulls have surrounded me; Strong bulls of Bashan have encircled me. they open wide their mouths at me, like a ravening and roaring lion. They surround me like a flood all day long; they close in on me together. Though a mighty army surrounds me, my heart will not be afraid. Even if I am attacked, I will remain confident. You are my refuge and my shield; I have put my hope in your word. No one who hopes in you will ever be put to shame. Show me your ways, LORD, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.

But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you. LORD, You are my portion and my cup of blessing; You hold my future. Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken. For the LORD is good; His lovingkindness is everlasting And His faithfulness to all generations. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.
