Why do men prefer to hear the words of wise men, than the words of God?


In the last times there will be scoffers who will follow their own ungodly desires. For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. But people who aren't spiritual can't receive these truths from God's Spirit. It all sounds foolish to them and they can't understand it, for only those who are spiritual can understand what the Spirit means. For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
