1 Cor 3:18-19
If anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself. Each one should test his own work. Then he will have reason to boast in himself alone, and not in someone else.
Gal 6:3-4
There is more hope for fools than for people who think they are wise.
Prov 26:12
Woe to those who are wise in their own opinion and clever in their own sight.

Prov 26:12
Woe to those who are wise in their own opinion and clever in their own sight.
Isaiah 5:21
The crucible is for refining silver and the smelter for gold, but a person [is tested] by the praise given to him.
Prov 27:21
Prov 27:21
If someone thinks he knows something, he does not yet know to the degree that he needs to know. But whoever loves God is known by God.
1 Corinthians 8:2-3
Why is a clever person wise? Because he knows what to do. Why is a stupid person foolish? Because he only thinks he knows.
Proverbs 14:8
A person with understanding has wisdom as his objective, but a fool looks only to earthly goals.
Proverbs 17:24
The ways (lifestyle) of the fool is right in his own opinion, but wise is the man who listens to advice.
Proverbs 12:15
Pay careful attention, then, to how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.
Ephesians 5:15-17
Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring. Let another praise you, and not your own mouth—a stranger, and not your own lips
Prov 27:1-2
Don't do anything from selfish ambition or from a cheap desire to boast, but be humble toward one another, always considering others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.
The Attitude of Christ
5Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus:
6Who, existing in the form of God,
did not consider equality with God something to be grasped,
7but emptied Himself,
taking the form of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
8And being found in appearance as a man,
He humbled Himself and became obedient to death—
even death on a cross.
9Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place
and gave Him the name above all names,
10that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.
- Philippians 2:3 -11

12We do not dare to classify or compare ourselves with some who commend themselves. When they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they show their ignorance. 13We, however, will not boast beyond our limits, but only within the field of influence that God has assigned to us—a field that reaches even to you. 14We are not overstepping our bounds, as if we had not come to you. Indeed, we were the first to reach you with the gospel of Christ.
15Neither do we boast beyond our limits in the labors of others. But we hope that, as your faith increases, our area of influence among you will greatly increase as well, 16so that we can preach the gospel in the regions beyond you. Then we will not be boasting in the work already done in another man’s territory.
17Rather, “Let him who boasts boast in the Lord.”a 18For it is not the one who commends himself who is approved, but the one whom the Lord commends.
2 Cor 10:12-18
for God will judge you in the same way you judge others, and he will apply to you the same rules you apply to others.
Mat 7:2
If we were properly evaluating ourselves, we would not be judged, but when we are judged by the Lord, we are disciplined, so that we may not be condemned with the world.
1 Corinthians 11:31-32
Put yourselves to the test and judge yourselves, to find out whether you are living in faith. You know, don't you, that Jesus the Messiah lives in you? Could it be that you are failing the test? 2 Corinthians 13:5
For it is not the one who commends himself who is approved, but the one whom the Lord commends. 2 Corinthians 10:18
Proverbs 3
Trust in the LORD
1My son, do not forget my teaching,
but let your heart keep my commandments;
2for they will add length to your days,
years and peace to your life.
3Never let loving devotion or faithfulness leave you;
bind them around your neck,
write them on the tablet of your heart.
4Then you will find favor and high regard
in the sight of God and man.
5Trust in the LORD with all your heart,
and lean not on your own understanding;
6in all your ways acknowledge Him,
and He will make your paths straight.
7Do not be wise in your own eyes;
fear the LORD and turn away from evil.
and refreshmentb to your bones.
9Honor the LORD with your wealth
and with the firstfruits of all your harvest;
10then your barns will be filled with plenty,
and your vats will overflow with new wine.
11My son, do not despise the LORD’s discipline
and do not loathe His reproof;
12for the LORD disciplines those He loves,
as a father the son in whom he delights.c
The Blessings of Wisdom
13Blessed is the man who finds wisdom,
the man who acquires understanding,
14for she is more profitable than silver,
and her gain is better than fine gold.
15She is more precious than rubies;
nothing you desire compares with her.
16Long life is in her right hand;
in her left hand are riches and honor.
17Her ways are pleasant,
and all her paths are peaceful.
18She is a tree of life to those who embrace her,
and those who lay hold of her are blessed.
19The LORD founded the earth by wisdom
and established the heavens by understanding.
20By His knowledge the watery depths were broken open,
and the clouds dripped with dew.
21My son, do not lose sight of this:
Preserve sound judgment and discernment.
22They will be life to your soul
and adornment to your neck.
23Then you will go on your way in safety,
and your foot will not stumble.
24When you lie down, you will not be afraid;
when you rest, your sleep will be sweet.
25Do not fear sudden danger
or the ruin that overtakes the wicked,
26for the LORD will be your confidence
and will keep your foot from the snare.
when it is within your power to act.
28Do not tell your neighbor,
“Come back tomorrow—
I will provide when you have the means.”
29Do not devise evil against your neighbor,
for he trustfully dwells beside you.
30Do not accuse a man without cause,
when he has done you no harm.
31Do not envy a violent man
or choose any of his ways;
32for the LORD detests the perverse,
but He is a friend to the upright.
33The curse of the LORD is on the house of the wicked,
but He blesses the home of the righteous.
but gives grace to the humble.
35The wise will inherit honor,
but fools are held up to shame.
